Good luck is good

So one thing that has always bothered me is the fact that I don't have my portfolio. Through a combination of bad blood and moving my mounted works, along with selected unmounted prints and negatives, are no longer with us (I imagine them sitting in a land-fill somewhere in the state). This has always bothered me to some extent, mostly because the few things i decided to keep in my portfolio I liked, and as many of you know i never like anything i ever do.

So the other day i was going through some of my boxes that i never bothered to unpack when i moved. I found some relics from the past, some junk, and some binders from school.

Psychology, Calculus, and what do we have here, My working binder for the Dark Room.

Anyone who has developed film probably used a system like i did when going to the darkroom (many of the people i knew who took classes with me used a similer system, i can only assume that others do to). I had a binder that contained loose-leaf, a #2.5 pencil (I'm weird like that) a few prints, and oh yeah, Negatives. This was basically what i carried with me every time i wanted to do enlargements.

So the good news is that the negatives changes depending on what i was enlarging. The last thing i was working on: my portfolio.

Sweet serendipity.

It's not my best stuff, but it's my better stuff.

So now it's time to locate a negative scanner, or someone with one, and get some good stuff online.

Meanwhile, i also have some of my older stuff on CD, so i'll be posting that in the coming days.
